Head Injuries/ Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
One of my goals in writing this testimonial is to bring CST to light. I have a traumatic brain injury. It happened 20 years ago. I lived in Amsterdam and rode my bike to my advertising business, to see friends, and to shop every day. One morning while I was riding to work I fell, hitting the ground head first, cracked my skull and ended up in the hospital. 45 minutes later I went into a coma. 30 days later I began to regain consciousness only to learn that I now had a traumatic brain injury. I'd joined the ranks of the disabled.
It's been tough these last twenty years but it's gotten a hell of a lot better. A friend told me about Lana, and about CST but I didn't want to hear any of it. I was sick to death of cures and treatments and the rest of what I lumped as new age nonsense. I was having so much trouble with the medicines to prevent seizures. I had 'medically resistant' seizures.
I was off balance physically and mentally. I had headaches, nausea, panic attacks. CST, or whatever it was, was not going to help me.
My buddy told me about Lana and I immediately pictured her as some twenty five year old who'd just taken a course in whatever it was. If she hadn't treated me to my initial CST session I wouldn't have met Lana. What happened? My whole life changed! I got myself back!! I have made more substantial/sustainable progress in the last six months than I have in the previous 19.5 years.
Why doesn't everyone know about or 'have' a CranioSacral therapist? No medicine to take, no side effects to suffer, no surgeries to recover from! Why isn't this 'out there'? You don't have to have a head injury. It works on whatever ails you. It's your body telling Lana what needs to be done. Believe me if you ever suggested this might be me talking six months ago I would have asked you what you were smoking! But yes folks it's true. Doctors don't know as much as your body does. It doesn't want to be off balance either! Before you scoff at the idea of CST I hope you or someone else treats you to just one session. Then we'll talk.

My daughter B had just begun her senior year when severe headaches developed behind both eyes which came on suddenly. After a few days we contacted our family doctor. We discussed certain possibilities. It was extremely hard to see our daughter in so much pain. At that time, there were several cases of spinal meningitis in the area and being concerned, we went to Children's hospital where B had not only one spinal tap in the emergency room but had to return for another the next day.
Our research started with the spinal taps but as time went on, we had CT Scan's, MRI’s, Acupuncture, Chiropractor, Orthodontist, Psycho-Therapy, Neurologists, massage therapy. She was put on painkillers, which did nothing, and after a while we insisted they be stopped. At one point, I had so many appointments I had to ask ”which doctor are you and where are you located”?
People were praying for B and our family all over the country! Eventually, a good friend of mine from Oregon insisted that I take B for CranioSacral therapy - someone locally in Seattle or go down to Oregon and make an appointment with her therapist. I had never heard of CranioSacral Therapy and I explained that I had to complete the current process in order to start another. This was August of 2004, almost a year of headaches at a level of 6 out of 10, had gone by. B's level of pain was never below an 6 - She learned to gauge her pain through several people explaining the levels of pain.
Our last resort was Bio Feedback scheduled at Children's but I decided to look up the website that my friend sent me and see what this new therapy was all about. She is one that doesn't even like going to a doctor let alone “hocus pocus” stuff as she calls it. I checked upledger.com and to my surprise started reading about the different therapies. I came up with 11 just in our area alone. How do you choose? It was difficult but I learned what each training meant and checked each therapist profile. I took the next step to call the ones I thought would be OK. Reminder, I knew nothing about this. Out of the first two I called, one called back.
This was Lana Dahl. I explained about B and told her all the tests, doctors and medications B had endured with no relief. Lana said she would know in one treatment if the work she did could help B.
The first treatment Lana gave B was for (2) hours. Lana explained the whole process to us and worked with B talking to her softly and asking her questions throughout the session. I cannot tell you the joy I felt in my heart when B spoke out and said her pain level was going down. At first it was a 5 1/2 for the longest time then it went to a 5, then 4 1/2, then a 4.
You could see the relief in B's face as the pain was lessening. It was pretty incredible. I don't know how she did it but all I know after a year of pain, B was finally getting some relief. The next session was an hour and B's pain level went from a 4 to a 2. She could not believe it and neither could I. After the 3rd session, B's pain was gone completely. Lana recommended further work to continue balancing the CranioSacral system and the integrity of the fascial system, so we had a few more treatments which brought more ease for B. After almost one whole year of continuous pain and all the tests done we finally reached our goal of finding relief for B! B was able to complete her senior year and is still pain free 8 months later.
Now I tell everyone I know about our experience with CranioSacral therapy and that our daughter got her life back – actually, we all got our life back – as it had traumatized our entire family for the whole year. Many people along with myself had not heard of it. Now people come to me asking questions and how they can contact Lana. I completely recommend her and her commitment to CranioSacral Therapy and her patients’ wellness. She is very professional, compassionate, supportive and effective.

Acute and Chronic Neck and Back Pain
Lana is a gift in my life. She has nurtured and accelerated my healing from a car collision over a year ago with both CranioSacral Therapy and Quantum Energetic Disciplines' Pulse technique. In six months of working with her my energy has come back dramatically. I am also on my way to making the income I was making before I was injured. My body aches and pains are usually gone when I leave her space. My business has improved and my relationships are now more satisfying.
Lana has encouraged me to love and care for myself on a new level. She is a warm, loving person who tunes into my needs yet has boundaries and is professional. She knows where I need attention. She does her own "work" and supports me doing mine. I recommend her highly.

I came in with pain from whiplash in a car accident a month prior. After a couple sessions I realized I was now sleeping through the night which I hadn't done for years!!! And that continues to be so.
Every session is very calming. It evens out my discomfort, kind of smoothes it so where it was sharp and acute, it refocuses all the energy and relieves the acute pain. Sometimes takes it away totally and my whole body feels better. Sometimes I don't really know what has happened til the next day and then the next few days I really notice the difference. It is an emotional calming for me. A sense of time that I can center on myself and let go of everything else.
What's amazing is that when she works on my head my low back eases!

I have always lived an active life. I've played hockey for about thirteen years, I'm usually outside hiking or swimming or something of the sort. Lately, I've been in training for the Seattle Police Force and have been pushing my body very hard. For years, my sciatic nerve has been a source of pain for me. I'm 22 and many times found myself unable to get out of bed. It felt like an electric shock was being sent from my lower back to my knee and, many times, it was unbearable. I had tried various medications and treatments and stretches and after a while, just accepted that I would have to live with this pain.
After only a one half hour session with Lana, I had a hard time holding back my tears. I had no pain in my leg. I spent the next half an hour walking, jumping, and stretching - in shock that none of it caused me pain. I had become used to wincing whenever I say down, or having to support myself for my first couple steps until the pain eased.
I would recommend Lana to anyone who has resigned themselves to just dealing with their pain. Due to my amazement at the freedom I feel, I have told everyone I've come in contact with about the change I felt. I'm sure I will be telling many more people, but for the meantime, I'm going to go for a run and for the first time in many years, I'll do so pain-free. Thank you, Lana!
Lana has given me relief from the pain I have had since my auto accident a year and a half ago. I now can fully breathe with an open and relaxed chest. I can now look over my shoulder with no pain. Her methods are very calming and soothing with fantastic results. I only wish I had found her right after my accident.
Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
Lana's presence is just exceptional. She pays really profound attention to the details of my body and I know she is specifically working with me as an individual - I feel totally cared for and her focus is completely on me.
Recently during our treatments, I was able to unlock a problem from jaw surgery 18 years ago. We accomplished a really profound release from that surgery and I've been working to release that injury all these years - her work got me to an entirely new level.
I definitely feel the presence of a higher power working with her.
Lana Dahl is one of the most energetic and spiritually connected people I know. I have received numerous treatments from her. Every one has been a powerful healing. My main weakness has been in my ankles and knees. When I started going to Lana, I had been having pain in my left foot, in my right ankle, and intermittent pain in my knees for many years. In only a few sessions those symptoms were gone! She worked not only in those areas but also on the brain and its connection to the whole system. I am most grateful to have her as a resource in my life!

Because of accidents and a lifetime of construction work, I have suffered the pain and loss of mobility in my shoulder for years! Lana explained to me what she does, but until she actually put her hands on me, and in a few short minutes reduced the pain to half of what it had been and increased the arm's motion, she made a believer out of me! I am really looking forward to my next session with "Lana and Those Fantastic Hands"!

Issues that aren’t responding to other treatments
The treatments I received from Lana Dahl were amazing! I'd been suffering from neck and back pain from a car accident for several months. I'd had chiropractic, massage and physical therapy, and was still in significant pain. After the first treatment with Lana I felt amazing relief! After a couple sessions I was able to begin regular motions and regained elements of my life routine that had been impossible after the accident, such as laundry, the dishes and walking my dog. If you've been hurt due to an accident or are just feeling a little of out balance physically, I'd recommend Lana's healing touch.
Thank you, Lana.
My daughter J was having trouble with a condition we simply call "the throat thing". She felt as though she was going to throw-up and this in turn gave her MUCH anxiety. She would wake up with this in the middle of the night and it would randomly show up at other times of the day. Last year it became so severe that it was difficult to get her to school and once there, it was hard to get her to want to stay. Often J's condition would be accompanied with stomach pain. J had many tests and we saw various doctors but nothing seemed to help.
When I met Lana Dahl, she told me she was able to work with her clients to rid them of both their pains and anxieties. Well those were just the words I'd been looking for and even though the technique sounded less conventional I was willing to try. After all, the conventional had failed us so far.
When I brought my daughter in to meet Lana I could tell J felt comfortable almost right away. Lana has an extremely relaxed and gentle way about her that is very soothing. She really took her time in the very first visit with my daughter to make her feel at ease and understand the process. When we came in for our first appointment Josie had had a stomachache for several days in a row (worse than usual). By the end of the session her stomachache was gone! Lana knew just by touch not only where J's pain was but also the moment it stopped.
Since J has met Lana, she is able to attend school and go about life without the "throat thing" and stomach pains. When she has an occasional flare up we rush to Lana to get her back to normal. She is very comfortable with Lana and looks forward to her visits. Lana is able to sense and feel exactly what her body needs. I highly recommend Lana to anyone but would like people to know how incredibly great she is with children.
Thank you Lana Dahl, you have changed our lives!
And from a chiropractor:
In previous experience working with Lana Dahl in my practice, I have been very impressed with her technique and her interpersonal skills. She has years of training in CranioSacral Therapy and from personal experience with her treatments, she is an excellent therapist. I recently was provided a Pulse Technique©, therapy that she has added to her credentials. This form of therapy would benefit anyone suffering from chronic or repetitive stress in their life. I was very pleased with the difference I felt after one session.
On a professional level, I have witnessed the amazing results she has achieved with patients suffering from chronic pain, headaches, jaw pain, depression, insomnia and immune system problems. In one case in particular, a car accident patient I had been treating was suffering from recurrent pain in his head and scalp. This symptom had been unresponsive to chiropractic care and massage therapy. I referred the patient for CranioSacral Therapy and after one ninety minute session, the head pain resolved. This is one example of many successes that resulted from Ms. Dahl’s treatment. I feel confident in recommending Ms. Dahl to any health care professional (or client). She is a great addition to any clinic.

Stress and Tension-Related Problems
Lana is a magnificent healer and professional. I have been fortunate to receive CranioSacral therapy sessions with her on a regular basis. Her knowledge of the body and hands-on touch have provided me relief from past injury and discomfort. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their life through hands-on work.

Lana is the best hands on energy healer I have ever worked with. She literally becomes a conduit for the Divine, opening pathways for internal systems to come to greater coherence. Lana is a person who seeks mastery in her field, which is the mark of a true professional -- one who is always stretching and learning. Being in pain is a good reason to use Lana's services, but not the only one; her work anchors spiritual awakenings too!

Post-Surgical Dysfunction and Trauma
I had surgery after a debilitating accident. Unfortunately, the complications during the surgery and the rehabilitation after the surgery were almost more traumatic than the accident. I felt as though I were ancient and going downhill fast. One two hour session with Lana in my home, while it was intense, relieved the trauma and somehow my system was able to “settle down” and get on with the healing process!! I was a new person the next day!
